Marc Manning / everything is fine
Marc Manning creates humid ambiance and electronic power-drones along the lines of Phill Niblock, John Fahey, and my bloody valentine. Marc Manning is a veteran of several Philadelphia atmospheric bands, the shoe gazer art rock of "the legend of boggy creek" and cave core rock of "everything is fine". His latest project HEAVY LIDS began as a CD to accompany a show of his abstract photographs in Portland OR at Disjecta gallery. The CD was to be the noise that Manning felt the photographs were making. Marc Manning draws inspiration from the audio to such David Lynch films as "Eraserhead" and "Blue Velvet" as well as from the films and soundtracks of the brothers quay and guy madden.
